How to Give Oculus - Gift Cards?

The Best way to Give the Gift of Oculus

For your friends, family, and loved ones who love gaming, getting a gift card for their video game hobby is a great gift idea. Whether it’s for their birthday, a Christmas present, or a “thinking of you” gift, surprising them with a video game-related gift card will level up your relationship with them.

How about in the realm of VR? VR enthusiasts, especially Oculus fans, might enjoy Oculus gift cards as presents. The VR gaming industry is gaining quite a bit of steam, and this is one ride a VR fan doesn't want to be left behind.

But is there really a way to get Oculus gift cards? Let’s find out.

Understanding Oculus Gift Cards

Sometimes, we’re overwhelmed with what item to get for our loved ones. What if the gift we get isn’t exactly what they want? There are times when it’s just not possible to pinpoint the exact item they want to get. To err is human after all, and mistakes can be made.

If you don’t know anything about video games, especially about VR games and Oculus gift cards, things can get tricky. There is a huge possibility that you will end up buying the wrong game instead. You don’t want to know the feeling of dismay from getting Fruit Ninja instead of Beat Saber!

But humans are true-blue innovators, and we’ve discovered a “hack” when it comes to gift-giving, and that is in the form of gift cards.

To make gift-giving easy and hassle-free, gift cards are very handy presents to give. With it, the gift receiver can choose the exact item or product they want! For VR game enthusiasts and Oculus fans, Oculus gift cards sound like the perfect gift.

With the idea of Oculus gift cards, they can choose the game they want from the Oculus store. It should only take a few minutes with some simple clicks here and there. With gift cards, all they have to do is to input some code to put credit in their own account. Sounds easy, right?

Unfortunately, Oculus gift cards are not available for now. Oculus has not released any info on whether they will be offering Oculus gift cards to their customers or users. There are other ways to give Oculus gifts, but not being able to give Oculus gift cards is an unfortunate situation all around.

The Best Way to Gift Oculus

While the lack of Oculus gift cards has put us in a not-so-stellar situation, there is still a way to give Oculus gifts to your loved ones and family. It’s not the end of our Oculus gift-giving quest!

Facebook or Meta has added an option for people to buy Oculus gifts for friends. All you have to do is buy the specific games and apps the recipient would want directly from the Oculus store. You might need to log in using your Facebook or Oculus account before purchasing anything on the website.

Once you’re logged in, you can browse the selection of games, apps, and entertainment through Oculus’s store. You can use the search function on the website or scroll through the categories. There are limited-time deals, essential games to get on your Oculus, and categories like Top Selling, Most Popular, and New Releases.

After picking the game you want to buy, click on the title to see its own page. Look through the options on your screen and choose “Buy for a friend” to get it for someone else. On most PC browsers, it should be on the right side of your screen.

To buy the game, you will need the recipient’s email address for this, so make sure you have their email on hand before purchasing! You can also include a little note or message with your purchase. This is optional, but it’s always nice to express your appreciation to them through words as well.

Once you’ve successfully purchased the game, the recipient will receive a string of code in their email, which they will use to redeem the game you bought. Just in case they don’t know, remind them not to lose or share this code before redeeming it!

Currently, this is the best way to gift Oculus games to your loved ones. Through this method, you have to do a bit of research on what they would want from the Oculus store, however. While this method isn’t as easy as using an Oculus gift card, it will suffice for now.

Where Can I Buy Oculus Gift Cards

As mentioned above, Facebook or Meta are not offering the option of Oculus gift cards to their user base at the moment. There are no clear reasons given for this, unfortunately. Hopefully, they will realize the ease of Oculus gift cards and enable it in the future.

For now, what you can do is buy directly from their Oculus store. To recap, here is how you can buy Oculus gifts.
